On this link pay attention to the bottom left corner of the map click your mouse on it and then scroll down you’ll see the time and date of the satellite image and then scroll the the wheel on the mouse and it would animate.

So I like using the sandwich RGB radar loop and be sure to check the animation link to get the full effect. You can then determine how a storm is looking instead of waiting for the 6 hour update reports.
